THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS.
Sugar scrub recipes are easy to make and you can interchange ingredients (gingerbread, peppermint, lavender, lemon, vanilla, coffee, grapefruit, etc.) to suit your personality. The only two must-have ingredients are sugar for exfoliation and some type of oil to moisturize (I prefer coconut oil!). From a green tea sugar scrub for acne and blemishes, to a chocolate and honey sugar scrub for lips that’s simply intoxicating, these DIY homemade sugar scrubs will give you gorgeous skin year-round!

Using sugar scrubs is pretty much essential as we head into the summer months. The winter has left our skin dry and even a little rough, so it’s time we make way for smooth and silky skin. The best way to do that? Exfoliate to slough away the dry skin and moisturize to keep the skin feeling soft as can be.

Sugar scrubs are so easy to make and you can interchange ingredients to suit your skin type and the aroma you prefer. The only two must-have ingredients are sugar for exfoliation and some type of oil to moisturize (coconut is usually my favourite!). Otherwise you can pretty much throw whatever you want into the mix! Coffee grinds? Sure! Raspberries? Go for it! Mint? Why not! All of these ingredients have plenty of benefits that will enhance your skin.

In my humble opinion, it’s best to keep things simple. Don’t blend too many ingredients together, as your skin doesn’t need too much going on. You’ll notice all the sugar scrub recipes below have about 3-5 ingredients, which I think is ideal. Certain ingredients work flawlessly together to give you the soothing results you’re looking for!

From a green tea sugar scrub that works to combat acne and blemishes, to a chocolate and honey lip scrub that’s simply intoxicating -and a whole lot in between, these 15 sugar scrubs will give you gorgeous summer skin.
